Welcome to the Wisconsin Hero Outdoors Beekeeping Program
At Wisconsin Hero Outdoors (WHO), we are committed to supporting our heroes through innovative programs. In 2022, we launched our beekeeping initiative in partnership with several beekeeping organizations. This journey began at the Delafield Farmers Market, where we connected with award-winning beekeeper Doug Kolterman.
With Doug’s guidance, we established six hives at our Delafield location in 2023, home to over 200,000 bees. Our first honey harvest in 2024 yielded 54 pounds of pure, raw honey, which we proudly gifted to local heroes and their families.
